About The Event
Do you have a horse that is struggling with physical issues? Maybe you just want to improve your horses way of going? Struggling with the concept of contact?
Are you looking for a way of maintaining/improving your horse's physical ability without compromising your horsemanship principles? Want to ride with a contact and maintain your relationship with your horse.
Formerly a 4* Parelli Professional (the first one in the UK) Lyla has over 15 years experience teaching Natural Horsemanship and has worked intensively with Spanish Team Coach Luis Lucio as well as working with rehabilitating horses with a variety of conditions.
This is a two day clinic using a combination of presentations, discussion, simulations and teaching time to explore how to teach your horse to develop and maintain healthy posture and movement happily.
What you will learn...
- Healthy posture... identifying good and poor posture in your horse and the factors that can influence it and how you can improve it
- Developing your ground skills to help your horse explore and improve healthy self carriage
- How to transfer what you have learnt on the ground into the saddle
Testimonial from previous clinics:-
"My sister and I both attended Lyla's Healthy movement and self carriage fundamentals workshop with our horses, and found it to be transformational! Both our horses behaviour/confidence has improved during the last couple of years, so we were ready to ask a bit more from them, to help them (and us) move our bodies more effectively ... Lyla very clearly explained how to identify good/not so good posture in horses (and riders) She demonstrated a combination of ground/ridden exercises with our horses, and was able to convey how we sympathetically go about achieving an improvement. Lyla then taught us the same ground/ridden techniques (including advise on the most helpful
kit to use on both our horses.) We are already seeing positive changes in both horses, and are totally committed to continuing to train our horses in this way."
